A ROARING ANIMAL
This Pre-historic painting is on one of the walls of Bhimbetka caves M.P. These animal figures drawn in this painting have linear, schematic, and geometric symmetry.
They all are drawn with full rhythm and movement. They all have big horns. They resemble bull, dear, horse, cow, goat, bison, and rhinoceros. In the center of the painting, two animals are roaring at a man with having a spear in his hand. On the other side of man, a linear decorative peacock is shown in artistic style. Above the peacock, a bird is shown sitting. In this painting, the Pre-historic artist painted his natural lifestyle among furious animals and beautiful birds. The color used in these paintings is prepared combing manganese, hematite (red soft stone), and wooden charcoal. Here, the artist expressed his emotions and ideas through very few lines, a specialty of Pre-historic art.
